modGREPER 0.2 (14/06/2005):

- scan range was limited to 0x80000000 - 0x9fffffff because several
  people reported system freezes during scan of the higher virtual
  addresses. Author believes that all important data structures are
  located in this narrowed range so it should not affect detector
  efficiency. On systems with more then 512MB of physical memory it may
  be possible for the attacker to relocate the offending structures to
  the higher addresses, but there are in fact easier methods for
  cheating modGREPER (and the most general is to use driverless
  rootkit).
